X-terra: A Pleasant Surprise!

Date of Review:  Aug 17, 2001
The Bottom Line: You must test-drive this car before buying anything similar--otherwise you will kick yourself later. X-terra is a serious contender for best 4-wheel drive in its class!
Review: I buried my '94 Jeep last year, after she died an early death at 100,000 miles on the DC Beltway!

I thought I would eventually buy another Jeep, as I really enjoyed that car...( at least in the beginning....see my review on her in...

SUV... the way it was meant to be

Date of Review:  Jul 8, 2001
The Bottom Line: If you want a "REAL SUV" the Xterra fills the bill. From off-roading to hauling the kids around town, this truck does it all in relative comfort.
Review: Nissan has done it again. They have been the leaders of the industry in the pickup truck dept. 1st compact truck in America, 1st long bed truck in America, 1st extended cab in America, 1st American made import truck, 1st true 4 door compact truck in...

Great buy and fun to drive

Date of Review:  Apr 4, 2003
The Bottom Line: Its a great sporty ride, that's fun to drive.
Review: I love my X-Terra. Its a 4 cylinder pumping out 140 hp, and has a 5-speed manual transmission. That's the only down fall about the truck though. It gets decent gas mileage due to the 5-speed, and the pickup is somewhat bearable. We had a CD...

Excellent off-roader

Date of Review:  Dec 10, 2001
The Bottom Line: Recommended if you want a real SUV and you plan to actually leave the pavement. This is not a soccer mom SUV.
Review: This is my first Nissan (and first foreign vehicle) ever. I love it. After having only so-so luck with Jeeps and Chevy's and horrible luck with Fords, I settled on the Xterra. This is a real SUV that was actually meant to leave the pavement - soccer...

great car

Date of Review:  Apr 1, 2002
The Bottom Line: This car is great for a person who is always on the run, its is really easy to handle. This makes parking so easy!
Review: The Xterra is a great SUV. It doesn't have all of the fancy amenities, which many new cars have but it drives well. The car is easy to control and because of this it is really easy to park. It hasn't given me any real problems so far. There is a lot...

Love It

Date of Review:  Jul 30, 2004
Review: I am the original owner of my 2001 Nissan and it is by far the best vehicle I have owned. I have had it for a little more than 3 years and have never had to take it back to the dealership for repairs or failures. I bought it because I wanted an SUV...

A real SUV

Date of Review:  Nov 14, 2003
The Bottom Line: I like the Xterra. It is rugged, reliable, and well-priced. It may not have the horsepower of the Pathfinder or Cherokee, but it still lives up to it's SUV characterization.
Review: I did preliminary research on some of the "cheaper" SUVs because I wanted one. My husband and I checked out the Xterra, Isuzu Rodeo, Toyota RAV4, and Honda CRV. The Xterra seemed like the best vehicle for the price.

My husband got it...

If you're looking for an SUV, buy this one!

Date of Review:  Jun 20, 2003
The Bottom Line: It's comfortable and cute. The first aid "bubble" on the back is kind of corny, but the car is still cute. It handles well, and gives you practically no troubles.
Review: I know nothing about cars, I was just a 17 year old female when I bought this. The only thing I know is the difference between a truck, SUV, car, convertable, and Semi. That's the extent to my knowledge. But I would still like to recommend the...

Xterra is a great buy

Date of Review:  Oct 2, 2003
The Bottom Line: The Nissan Xterra is a great vehicle if you are looking for an SUV that is stylish with a lot of options but can still go offroad when needed.
Review: I owned a 2001 Nissan Xterra (2WD) for two and a half years and it was a great vehicle the entire time I had it. It came with a 3.3(200) V6 that puts out 170 HP and 200 Ibs/torque, and trust me...it picks up pretty quick for an SUV. The interior...

Great truck! Wouldn't trade it for a Ferrari..

Date of Review:  Dec 1, 2004
The Bottom Line: Get one
Review: ... if it had to be the only car for my entire life that is. :)

No I didn't buy the xterra because it looks 'cute' or 'hansome'. I bought it because I wanted an SUV that was not oversized, made by a Japanese automaker, and most of all, had...
