Nissan Pulled This One Over On Me Once Too Often.

This is my third Nissan in a row which tells you I'm loyal, however since buying the Pathfinder my thoughts have changed dramatically on Nissan. When buying I was stuck between the 4Runner and Pathfinder, however the new 4Runner model was just coming out and in high demand. I went with the Pathfinder based much on the supposed Nissan quality. At 20k I was told the brake rotors were shot, I questioned why I wasn't told this when Nissan inspected the vehicle two months earlier and was told this can come on fast. Okay, I said that's not too bad. Next up the Catalytic converter starting acting up. I believe they called them the exhaust tubes. Anyway after hours of arguing with Nissan they at last covered the cost of the part and I had to pay labor. Strike Two. The other day with 50k miles on the car the heater fan gave out. No one likes a malfunction, but as luck would have it I had to have my vehicle into Nissan to get it aligned anyways and oh yeah I hear a small exhaust leak. Well after leaving my vehicle there for a day I get a call from Nissan advising they don't know what the problem is with the heater fan and their stumped. Next up they want to let the mechanic have a day to work at it for something like $30 an hour. Oh and while you're on the phone both mufflers are shot and the exhaust system needs replaced. $900 please. In addition something called Q-links were shot, but the good news is their only $150. Keep in mind this car is only three years old with 50k miles on it.
No more Nissan for me. They can try to act like Toyota, but they never will be. The last two I got rid of in the 20k range, I guess they only last until 40k when they start falling apart. Nissan = The K-mart of Japaneese autos. I sure hope Toyota welcomes me back when I go looking for 4Runners tomorrow night.
