Pros:
Fabulous photos, exciting video, quality craftsmanship, durable, good sound, easy handling, great preview screen
Cons:
terrible strap for underwater use, short battery life, writes some kind of funky AVI file
The Bottom Line:
I recommend this over the Pentax W10, which we used side by side--it's much more solid, far superior photo quality and I learned it's system more quickly.

In a nutshell: Love the camera, hate the strap, am not crazy about the battery life, ADOBE PREMIERE PRO won't read the AVI file it writes, so you have to re-write all your AVIs before editing, or use something like ROXIO CREATOR or WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER. Doesn't matter, buy this camera.
I bought one for my son and one for me when he came to visit me where I live in Kailua Kona, HI and we put together a montage of video and stills on YouTube, which you can watch at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFkzsw-81BY.
We put floating lanyards that I bought at a local dive shop onto the cameras because the strap supplied by Olympus has no cinch ring and the opportunity to drop the camera underwater, given the small and slippery nature of the strap, is high.
Quality of stills and video is exciting and good--audio is better than I expected and cleans up nicely in AUDACITY or AUDITION.
I love my Stylus 770! It's a real winner and outperformed my brother-in-laws Pentax W10 by miles and miles; bear in mind that I have 30 years of product loyalty to Pentax and none to Olympus--this little camera changed my mind. The pictures, features and handling are superior to the Pentax; additionally, the W10 feels like a little plastic toy, while the Stylus feels like a precision machine in the hand.
