Defect in sound recording

Pros: The camera is a big improvement over the original 720SW.

Cons: The sound recorder is defective.

The movie mode in the Stylus 1030SW has a defect in the recording of sound. A "popping" noise is recorded in the sound track. Olympus is aware of the problem and promises a firmware fix by the end of Septmeber 2008.The higher the ISO, the poorer the picture quality.
The movement setting just increases the ISO so do not use that function. Try to stay below 200 ISO.
The depth range to 33 feet is great.
