This camera has worked very well in most situations. While the fully automatic mode works very well, you have full manual control over every feature except the focus. Though the manual controls are more cumbersome to use than on most SLR cameras, the shutter and aperture priority modes work very well. The "quick view" button to see photos while in camera mode is a great feature. The screen is very large, and the xD memory cards are very small. My only complaint about this camera involves the flash. While it features a red-eye reduction mode, some photos still show red-eye (easily removed with a free copy of Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 starter edition). The camera does offer a flash shoe, allowing you to avoid this problem by using an external flash that will provide more power and prevent red-eye.
