Product Review

A Highly under rated Piece of Art

by   milla05 ,   Mar 31, 2000

Pros:  Funky Bass lines and awesome different sounds for the Peppers

Cons:  No John Fruschiante

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

This album, even though the least favorite of most Peppers fans is highly under rated. It is just because John Fruschiante, their guitarist isn't on this album. Instead, Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction is there in his place. Fruschiante's rapid style and slide guitar isn't anywhere, but Navarro's interesting technique brings much character to this album.

The lyrics on this album are also more mellow than their previous albums. songs like my friends and tearjerker are very melancholy and show the band's sensitivity. Then there are Songs like Transcending and The deep Kick, have lyrics that are written in a interesting flow.

The band just comes with kick ass lyrics. It'll have you seriously trippin'!!! Flea comes wth the awesome bass licks as usual and Chad Smith's hard hitting beats, are off the hook. All together a great album to crank up. Check this out!!
