Efficient Batch Scanning of 50 35mm mounted slides at a time, 100 if you buy the optional adapter. Quality of the scans with digital ice image correction and dust removal is great. Also has ROC color correction.
It Does jam if your slides are not in good shape. At 1800 dpi it takes a 1hour to scan 50 but you don't have to babysit.(using usb)
I scan slides in my business and when people have them, they have alot of them, so I needed to be able to scan lots cheap, with this unit the labor is taken out of the process and I can offer a good price.
Buy the led version, not the older ray tube light as they burn out even on new machines. I had bought the older version and it lasted a week, tech support was great and new the problem before I even explained it, had to ship it back, pay shipping and customs again.
The new led light version is fine, I have scanned 1000 so far.
sometimes it stops in the middle of a batch scan and the solution is to turn it off and then on again, not a big problem
nice footprint, usb and firewire supported
the auto numbering system options used in storing your slides in a directory is confusing at best but not a big problem.
Happy scanning
