Author's Review
Working in an office day in and day out, I have seen machines come and go. Usually when we get a new piece of equipment, everyone is overjoyed that we finally got rid of that "piece of junk." I, on the other hand, reserve my feelings until I have used the new machine. I have been so disappointed with newer pieces of technology. Sometimes I agree, reluctantly, with the people who never want a change. This time, change was good!
The Panasonic UF-885, Laser Fax was brought into our office, brand spanking new. Being the secretary, and the real boss of my office, I am privileged to open packages and put them together. I was always good mechanically, as well as electronically, and this aspect of my job never bothered me. I quickly set this machine up with no problem at all. The programming of the machine was fast, as the directions were easy to follow. In our office, we use one touch dialing and a relay system, which includes twenty-five different fax numbers. I can honestly say that it took me fifteen minutes to complete.

The only drawback to this machine is the one paper drawer that came with this machine. In order to receive a legal document, you must switch the paper in the drawer. When you switch your drawer to legal paper, from letter size, there are guides inside the drawer. You have to remove the guides, and switch them to accommodate the legal paper. How would you know if the fax coming in was being sent on legal paper anyway?
This Panafax is perfect for my office. Now if we can only get rid of that darn Xerox machine.
Happy New Year to all!
