Not completely what I expected

Bought this system at Best Buy with a price match from Circuit City($399)originally $499, The first night I brought it home I plugged it in and it actually exploded, smoke started blowing out of the back of the unit! Took it back for exchange and the second 1 worked fine. I bought this unit to consoludate my old out of date Technics SA AX6 unit and even though they advertise the new ht940 as 1200w 190w on the front channels, it does not compare to my old unit at 100w a channel, especially on stereo or CD mode, but the movie surround really does sound good.
This unit is great if your don't have the room for a big system, but what I didn't like was there was no way to adjust bass or treble controls, only sound fields or changing the subwoofer output,the front speakers just sound weak, highs are good though on them.
I did have a problem turning on the 720p on my 47" panasonic projection tv, which I needed to call Technical support at panasonic to figure out how to get a picture back on my tv, which there support team really helped all they can and did a good job with their patience.
