My Buddy

This transcribing machine is the best by far, I have ever owned. After years of buying machines that eventually bit the dust, the one I have at my office has lasted 5 years, easily--with probably thousands of hours of use. I bought one for my home just recently because there IS no other transcriber as far as I'm concerned.

The controls are easy to set and can be changed instantly, the sliding regulators do not wear out and stay put, wherever you put them. (I've had other transcribers where those buttons seem to mysteriously float away from where I originally set them!) This machine is 100% reliable--I never have to worry if it's going to konk out. It's a bit more expensive than other machines but it'll easily pay you back over the years. It uses standard-sized cassettes (not micros) and comes with a headset (the little foam ear things have a tendency to wear out) and a very comfy foot peddle.

This transcriber and I have spent many hours together and it's never let me down--love this machine!
