Pioneer MONITOR 10 R Headphones

Yes, these are NOT easy to find, thanks to
ignorant importers all over USA and Europe.
In today's headphones world, MOST items
are either cheap sounding garbage,
or inaccurate,muffled Expensive garbage.

Hence, most of us feel the frustration of
finding ACCURATE , CLEAR SOUND
for a REASONABLE AND FAIR PRICE .

I got these PIONEER MONITOR 10 R in Tokyo,
and they are one of the Best
MONITOR type Dynamic Headphones you can find ,
FOR VALUE, on this planet.

MONITOR means unforgiving in accuracy.
What is there, is made audible, not colored, or
tainted in any way.

If one has more stash, he should go for the
STAX LINE OF HEADPHONES. As Accurate as you can
get. NO COMPETITION WHATSOEVER on this planet.
BUT YOU BETTER HAVE Excellent Wires, electronics,
and CD sources !

if you have only about USD 120 in your pocket,
most shops in Japan carry this item . If you live
in Hawaii, maybe some shops there, might offer this
beauty too.

i did compare to the cheaper Sennheiser types
( less than usd 200 ) ,and to my ears, the Pioneer
is more accurate, more unforgiving.

Great for those that have small mixers and doing
Home mixes , or doing Serious Listening direct
thru their Fave ( higher end ) Marantz CD players,
or Decent Amplifiers.

Do not TURN UP VOLUME TOO Much, as this thing can
give you over 110 dBA at your ear drum.

IT IS NOT BASS BOOSTED or anything like that.
it does not Add garbage, or take away bits
of the original sounds.

YOU will hear what is really there. Great
as an audio doctor's stethoscope for checking
ground loops, noise sources, etc, if you know
what you are doing.

I also suggest you TRY the AUDIO TECHNICA
ATH 40 Mfs, but this is MORE MUTED, and BASSY.
The Pioneer has a Cheaper baby brother version
the PIONEER MONITOR 8,
which is about USD 80 in Japan, and also
80 % as close in character, sound, speed,
accuracy, and cleanliness, to the MONITOR 10R.
