I'm not quite sure it was worth the investment.
Pros:
Sporty body, nice interior, sturdy wheelbase
Cons:
Due to the fact that it's an older model, it can be hard to maintain.

Author's Review
I bought my burgundy 1987 Grand Am SE from my uncle, it was my cousins car until they took it away. I fell in love with it thinking with some minor work, it would be something I would drive for years and years. That was in May. Now, in August, The Terror is sitting in the driveway with its hood propped up. Every 3 days I have to refill the power steering fluid, last week it over heated, this week the alternator is going out. Three months and I'm already in the market for another car. In my area, cars have to run if you expect to be able to go anywhere, because there are no buses, taxi's, or trains. All in all, my car has been nothing but a disappointment, but I do love driving it. It's sporty, and, when it's not being repaired, easy to drive. The wheels are far enough apart to make it very sturdy, and that's an important factor for me. I'd say the car makes a good first car, but for seasoned drivers, go with an earlier model.
