Great car with a few minor problems

I bought this car brand new. It drove really well for about 6 months, and then something sporadic went wrong with the right rear wheel. It was also already out of alignment! The computer in the right rear was malfunctioning- no problem. Realignment however, was VERY costly. It costs $150 to have it aligned. The tires that came on the car were wearing terribly. They were so bald I slid off an icy road. I had to replace the tires that came with the car when they had only 20,000 miles on them. The car itself has been very solid. My gas mileage is about 17 city/22 highway. I now have 40,000 miles on it, and there have been no mechanical issues since the right rear issue.
I find it to be very spacious and very driver-centric. I don't think you could comfortably fit more than 4 in the car, though theoretically you could fit 5. For all you pack rats, the trunk is HUGE! It might be my favorite feature on the car. The car is a little more sluggish than older Grand Prix- the body is heavier. Because of this, it handles impacts really well. I've been in four accidents with this car (been run into twice, backed into someone, and hit a deer) and the car's body held up nicely.
Overall, it's a good car. I would feel safe putting my teenage kids in it as a "learn to drive" car.
