A feel-good movie that is a must see!

After a rough day I felt the need for something that would leave me feeling good. "Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" was just the prescription. As I walked out of the movie theater I felt ten times lighter than when I walked in and twice as happy.

This feel-good movie is a must for everyone to see. Even though the plot is semi-predictable the movie grabs you with it's characters from the beginning and doesn't let you go until the end. You feel involved the whole movie, like you're almost one of the people of Genovia. Any movie that does that earns major kudos in my book.

Ann Hathaway slipped in her role as Princess Mia with grace. She blended just enough sophistication and teenager-awe for us to recognize the girl Mia was while letting us visualize the Queen she could become. Mia is a role model any mother would be proud to let her daughter have.

I thought Julie Andrews singing during the batchelorette party was an added bonus. Those of you who grew up with watching "The Sound of Music" and "Mary Poppins" will appreciate it as much as I did.

There were many places in the move that made me laugh:
Mia learning to shoot a straight flaming arrow.
Mattress Surfing down a two-story staircase (including a dog)
Mia and Lord Nicholas falling into a fountain fully clothed.
Mia finding a secret passage way in the castle.

There are many more, but I don't want to give them all away.

If you're looking for a movie the whole family will enjoy choose this one. You won't be disappointed.
