Author's Review
I actually had orginally purchased the top end Logitech jobs, but was shocked to hear clipping and mid-range vibration on some music from them. So back they went and in came the Klipsch's. I made agreat choice- these babies are LOUD, yet quite accurate and clear. The subwoofer is so damn powerful that I have to keep it on almost the most minimal setting! I connected them to an IBM Thinkcentre with a great video card, but only onboard SoundMax sound. No problem, guys- these things are noise - free and POWERFUL!!! No vibration, no clipping and they are absolutely gorgeous. With insane shooting games they run just fine, at nearly max volume, and they work beautifully with videos and music. I do find that I have to keep the subwoofer at the most minimal setting, sue to it's high input gain (non - adjustable), but it sounds deep and very SUBBY. I don't like the power switch on the subwoofer- A switch would have been nice on the speakers themselves, but, oh well... Overall, though they are great, and THE BEST BUY IN A 2.1 SYSTEM, PERIOD. I tried the rest- and now I have the best! For the paltry $150 they cost, you get a rippin', thumpin set of speakers that will liven up that desktop or Ipod or Synth or whatever. You'll love 'em!
