Ehh...
Pros:
Graphics, selection of cars, physics, menus
Cons:
Physics, lack of track change, difficulty
The Bottom Line:
It is indeed a good racing game, probably one of the best ones for the Xbox so far, however, it seems more appropriate as a week-long rent than a keeper.

Author's Review
Seeing as how I noticed that many reviews said that Rallisport Challenge was the best racing game for the Xbox, I decided to check it out for myself. Granted, the graphics are really amazing. Good clarity, beauty, etc. Not only that, but the menus were really easy to explore, and the car selection was nice, but I wish it had more customization options at the car selection menu. However, the physics are a double-edge blade. They truly affect how the car moves across the track, but it also annoys the crap out of you. I am a lover of auto racing, but this is yet another example of why I would never indulge myself in a career in rally racing. In a word, it's difficult; too difficult to be enjoyable. I made it through to the last track of the rally cup (the one with the green bar), but ejected the disc after many attempts to obtain first place. I have had to at least restart a race 15 or more times before I would even get close to first place; sometimes I would have to restart just after 3 seconds because I hit a rock. Racing is all about seconds and this game takes that to the strictest level. A Lancer beat you by .85 seconds? Too bad, restart the race and try again. Simply put, Rallisport Challenge may be beautiful, but it was too difficult to be enjoyable.
