What I love about this crockpot first and foremost is that the actual pot lifts out for easy cleaning. Prior to this I had the "old school" style complete with flowers in lovely peach and pink pastel that didn't come apart and was so hard to clean without worrying about getting the cord and all the inside electrical parts dirty.
The next thing I like is that you can set it on high or low for different amounts of time...4, 6, 8, & 10 hours I believe it is. When it is done cooking it automatically switches to warm so that your dish doesn't overcook and just stays warm if you get stuck at work or something and aren't home in exactly 8 hours to turn it off.
I have used this pot for shredded green chile pork and chicken, for BBQ pork, for beef and pork pot roasts and all have come out perfect.
The inside "pot" portion is ceramic and it is shinny and slick on the inside if that makes sense so that it is easy to wipe clean. I have never had anything stick to this pot like a roast you cook in the over will in a regular baking dish.
I also like to modern shape and design. I like that this is wide and not as deep as my old crockpot. it works for a meal for 2 or 8. My old pot is much smaller and hard to do dinner for more than 4 people in and it is what was considered a regular sized crockpot in its day.
Another think I like about this pot is the outside is easy to clean as well. I have never had to try and soak the outside portion that has all of the electrical components in it in water to try and get it clean. Even spills down the side wipe right off with a sponge.
The buttons and control panel are easy to understand and use. The pot is durable as I have taken it to functions and what not where it hasn't been treated very tenderly and there are no chips in the ceramic and no signs of wear even after 2+ years of use.
One thing to remember is that the ceramic pot gets hot while its cooking so be careful and use the handles if you are transporting it or moving it during or after cooking. the lid does not get hot but also has a handle so that you don't have to actually touch the glass part which can be warm.
Overall this really is a great crock pot. I love the timer feature, the sleek modern design and its easy to clean and use. Great size for a family of 6 or more as well.
