Nice Car Seat

This car seat is a safe bet for the price. I purchased this seat except for the Eddie Bauer version, which cost more but when I actually compared the two they were exactly the same. The Eddie Bauer was almost double the cost but the only difference was the label, wish I had known this before wasting the extra money.
EASE OF USE:
This seat is fairly easy to use and your newborn fits into it well if you use the head support. The seat is very roomy for older baby's up to 22 pounds. The car seat can be used with or without the base which is great if you need to use it in two cars, no need to drag the base from car to car. It is also easier to use this seat without the base when you have a small car because it gives you a bit more room between the top of the infant seat and the front seat, this gives you more room for the person sitting in front of where the seat is installed.
When using the base it is fairly easy to place seat on it. The base also has several settings to make sure the infant seat is reclined at the correct angle. I did find that when you are installing the base in some cars that it was hard to get it to fit snugly, even with the latch system. Also in some smaller cars or cars or SUV's with narrow seats the base extends over the end of the vehicle seat, I didn't think that would be safe so I used it without the base if it didn't properly fit.
The 5 point harness is great for all children, this one is simple to use and has several adjustments for the shoulder height as baby grows. The canopy on the seat is nice for the most part but some times it does flop back because there is no way to keep it securely out. If you need to wash the cover it does come off easily and cleans up nice, although I wouldn't recommend putting it in the washing machine or dryer, I hand washed mine with no problem.
I also had a Graco Snug Ride and found that this seat seemed to provide more room when the baby was bigger. It was heavy to carry around after the baby reached 12 pounds, but I think most of the better built ones are heavy.
