Crippled by Design Flaw

I was impressed by the size, spec, and price on the CLX-3160FN, so I went ahead and ordered one. I never even got to use it, however.

Whilst setting up the printer, I reached the point where I was ready to connect the printer and install drivers. But... either the plastic housing on the printer is designed badly or the USB port had sunk further than spec'd inside of the housing... in any rate, I was unable to properly insert any of the three USB cables I had in my office. They would barely insert more than an eighth of an inch before the plastic housing would prevent the plug from going any farther. My only action to make it work would have been to carve either the printer's plastic housing or the plastic of the USB plug. I was definitely not impressed and was at a total impasse.

So this one goes back to the store, and I won't be getting another to replace it.

If this is truly a design flaw, perhaps Samsung is about to take a multi-million dollar bath on this otherwise promising multifunction color laser. But perhaps mine was just a lemon.

Either way, a lack of attention to detail on such an important small feature leads me to be more than concerned about the attention to detail on everything else. Case in point - I was also a concerned when I saw the paltry capacity of the small paper tray, the awkward placement of the manual feed tray..... and I stopped looking right there. Already more worry than it's worth, in my opinion.
