Best.....DVD Player....Period!

The Bottom Line: This is a solid DVD player bridging the gap between true HDTV and DVD. Does not compare to true 1080i HDTV but far surpasses ANY DVD Player on the market!

HD DVD ready or not?

The Bottom Line: HD DVD is not ready. It has to get better than a 0101 proccessor with a DVI output. Otherwise, this is going to become another major marketing mistake.
Review: This Samsung unit is not the first one promised to me to deliver HD performance. An European manufacter name KISS promised to sent me one but never made it. Neither is the US maker call themselves VINC. Though the VINC model should be available now...

Got an HD Monitor? You Should Buy This DVD Player.

The Bottom Line: If you wanna play DVD's on your HDTV, you outta take a look at this player. Its ability to play DVD's in near HD quality is superb.
Review: With the limited amount of HD sources available, justifying purchasing a HD capable monitor is tough. How about being able to watch all your DVD's in near high definition quality? Make the justification a little easier? You bet your sweet pippy it...

The Bottom Line: As long as it is connected to comparable equipment, this player should make most people happy.
Review: I've been dealing with DVD players for quite some time now, and I have to say that this Samsung definitely has some neat tricks up it's sleeve.

First generation with limitations

The Bottom Line: I still like the unit would I would say maybe shop around for other DVD Upconverter since there are more now on the market

Closest thing to HiDef DVD playback

The Bottom Line: If you play DVDs on a big screen HDTV, this is the machine you need until they end the fight over the HD format for DVDs.

Don't believe the Hype! This unit under performs in every resolution!
