Author's Review

Working as a TV installtion person I have came acrossed this TV the Samsung LN-T4081F 40 In many times. With this tv it is usally an in and out job because how easy it is to setup and use.

Setup
The Menus on this tv are easy to follow and understand. That makes it great if you want to get this for grandma and grandpa who can barly turn it on or off. It also has an easy to understand installation guide. Also if you are in an area that is only boradcasting digital, it has an option just to scan for digital channels. This means you don't have to wait so long for it to scan in the anolog and digital channel. It also has all the inputs clearly marked in white writing on the back so you know where you are pluging it in to. It is no longer a plug and guess. It also has a feature to label the inputs to make selecting what one you want easier.

Use
You might be thinking how hard is it to use a TV. Well not all people are up on new technology grandma and gradpa for example. I have installed this tv for many elderly cupples. I always take the time to sit with and explain how to use this tv. One of thier bigest concerns is how to change from the VCR to the DVD Player. This TV makes switching inputs easy with it's labling. The TV has a source menu built in it. This menu is compeletly programable so you can label what is on the inputs. When you hit the source button on the remote it will show all the inputs with the labels. No need to memorize what is on what input. I have installed this TV at a reception hall for people to play their DVDs and Power points on. It is easy for them to set up by themselfs.

Inputs and Outputs
For some having alot of inouts and outputs might be a bad thing. "Ahhh.... to many inputs what goes where." Well as I said they are clearly marked so you know where you want to put your equiment. The HDMI inputs are the best in the world. One cable takes care of video and audio at once. It also gives a true full 1080P HD. Haveing lots of HDMI inputs opens it up to have a lot more HD quality media players or receivers. It also have a VGA input allowing you to use this as a computer monitor if you so desire. Once again at the hall I installed this TV all these inputs helped me out. I was on a linking system with a projector, I was able to hook up a VideoPod, VCR, DVD, Computer, and Video camera with space for more stuff in the future. It is great for those who have kids with lots of game sytems. It also has an optical digital audio out. This means if you have a booming surround sound system you can hook the TV up to the system and watch all of your favorite programs in that high quailty sound. It makes it great with this change to digital TV becuase they are now boradcasting in full surround sound. I know an elderly lady who loves her American Idiol now.

Display
When it comes to HDTV I like the LCD TVs better. It is not so much of a quailty thing but how long will it work. Plasma screens just don't last as long as LCD. Even Less if you live in high alitudes. LCD TVs will work just as good in the high alitude as it will in the low. This makes the Samsung LN-T4081F great if you want to use it in a cabin or if you live in higher elivations. Also for you sport fans, if you want a TV that still looks good from a distance, just incase your getting something to eat or drink during the game, the Reslotion is great even at some distance. That is why I choose this for the reception hall you can still see what is on it even if you are far way.

Aluminated Remote
At the hall this has been handy because some times it is dark and you need to change the input or channel. Well no more squint and click; you know what you are pushing. You can see it clearly in dark. It is also printed in a size that is readable to those who might be hard of seeing. Making it and even better choice for grandma and grandpa.
