Samsung DVD-HD960 DVD Player

This player has accepted every type of format I could put in it. It even played some old XVID DVix disk without complaint. It upconverts my store bought DVDs with no problems. When I used to play movies, I wasn't able to use the full size of my 55 inch Sony without zooming. With the upconvert, the picture looks quite a bit better than the DVD and certainly way better than the zoom feature. Hook up was super easy with the included HDMI cable. This cable alone will offset the purchase of a separate cable and less expensive unit. It does, however, seem to revert back to 720P as it sees fit. I just bump it up to 1080i. You can barely tell the difference between those two but either is way better looking than straight 480 DVD formats.
