Amazingly big sound from a compact, lightweight, set of headphones.

Date of Review:  Jul 16, 2003
The Bottom Line: Fantastic sound in a convenient, portable, lightweight headphone with a high quality noise-canceling feature that actually works. An excellent buy.
Review: These headphones are one of the best buying decisions I've ever made. I was looking for noise canceling headphones to wear on a plane, while commuting to work on a van, and at work. They have exceeded my expectations. Before buying these I bought...

The Bottom Line: Best in class- easy to transport, promised what it delivers
Review: UPDATE: I use these with 3 different iPods. I discovered that on LONG (12 hour) flights, the on-ear form design gets uncomfortable. I bought the Bose QC2 (over-the-ear) which are more comfortable, more expensive and bigger. I still think the...

Absolutely Great Sounding Headphones!

Date of Review:  Jan 27, 2005
The Bottom Line: These are simply the best sounding noise canceling headphones I have heard. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Review: I tried everything. My last attempt at a decent headphone for use in a noisy gym was the Shure E3C "in-ear" headphones. Before trying those out I had been using the Sony MDR-NC20's for the last 6 months. They did cancel the noise out pretty well but...

A Must-Have for Frequent Flyers!

Date of Review:  Mar 24, 2005
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this unit to anyone that commutes regularly, or works in an environment with a lot of background noise.
Review: Since I do a lot of flying, this pair of headphones is an absolute godsend. I tried out the Bose QuietComfort II as well as the Sony MDR-NC11, and I think the Sennheiser beats them both for a variety of reasons.

Size and portability:
The...

Worth it

Date of Review:  Nov 19, 2003
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended. Good noise reduction. Good value. Great sounding. Very portable.
Review: When I first set out to find the perfect Noise-Cancelling headphone, I initially found great reviews for the Bose QuietComfort 2. I instantly fell in love...then I saw the price! At $300 I just couldn't convince myself that it was worth it, but I...

Good quality headphones with effective noise canceling

Date of Review:  Sep 19, 2005
The Bottom Line: A great product for commuters. Well-made, nice sound, and effective noise cancelling. But try-before-you-buy to see if these are right for you.
Review: I purchased these headphones in late 2005 because of noisy commutes I make for work. I highway-drive and fly quite frequently, and wanted to listen to music without ambient noise. I researched NC (noise-canceling) headphones on the Internet, and...

A good set of noise cancelling phones

Date of Review:  Aug 4, 2004
The Bottom Line: These are a good buy because they are great sound and the noise cancellation is as good as it could get other than the bose
Review: The first question is - Are noise cancelling headphones worthwhile and the second must be - are these particular ones any good?
On the subject on noise cancelling I have the following to say - I get on the London Tube every day. The Tube must...

Trade one bad noise for another

Date of Review:  Jun 12, 2005
Review: The Sennheiser PXC250 headphones are so bad I would not use them if they were free, and I will be returning the pair that I bought. I wanted to be able to shut out sounds like people at work and lawnmowers at home. I have not tried either of those...

Good Noise Reduction and Sound, Weak on Comfort

Date of Review:  Jun 15, 2005
The Bottom Line: Good buy at $70 (refurb); too expensive at ~$150 retail. Great noise reduction, very good comfort, decent sound.
Review: This is my 4th pair of noise canceling headphones, and I don't plan to replace them anytime soon.

First pair was from Aiwa (HP-CN5) and although noise reduction and sound were good, comfort and quality were not as good. Less of a problem...
