I Love It!

We have owned this Sharp Carousel for over a year and just love it. I had owned an Emerson turntable microwave for about 12 years before it reached the end of its lifespan. I loved the turntable convenience - no stopping the cooking to rotate the dish. Finding another turntable microwave was important to me!

I was delighted to find several models with carousels. I picked this one because of the built-in timed features for dinner plates, pop corn, beverages, baked potatoes and more. These features make using the microwave easier for my young teen. And less work for me. ; )

We also use the minute feature. Pressing it once for one minute is easier than pressing 1-0-0 to get one minute of cooking.

I'm not real fond of the compu-defrost. This defrost cycle automatically stops every few minutes for you to check your food and pull apart the pieces. The pre-set stops don't seem to be at the right times for my thawing out meats. So I just avoid the compu-defrost now and thaw by choosing a time myself, but cooking at 40 or 50 percent power level. Changing the power is easy. You just set the cooking time, press "Power," and then press four for 40 percent or five for fifty percent, etc. Then press "Start."

The microwave has a kitchen timer feature which is great. No more wondering where the timer is because if you can find the microwave, you can find your timer.

Where I live the electricity goes off a good bit and re-setting the clock is very easy. That's a feature I certainly appreciate.

The inside finish is easy to clean and the turntable removes very easily for washing. (Mine has to be washed often.)

The inside is roomy. This microwave seems "deeper" than my previous model, even though it doesn't take up any more cabinet space.

I guess this microwave does everything except read the recipe and mix the ingredients for you and clean up after dinner. I recommend it to anyone!
