Many of the companies have been advertising for years and are reputable with very few or no legitimate complaints. The advertisers value your business and will work to make you satisfied.

There are also some 440 classifications for specific guns, ammunition, and accessories. If something is related to hunting or shooting, it is almost sure to be available in the pages of the Shotgun News.

Each issue typically has four or five interesting articles by recognized gun writers concerning the several aspects of the shooting sports, including Cowboy Action Shooting, Target Shooting, Clay Games, Gun Collecting, Military Reenactment, and Hunting. There is also a question and answer section by noted firearms authority Jim Supica.

Besides the convenience of shopping by mail, phone, or Internet (many advertisers list websites and email), an added advantage of ordering through the mail is that out of state companies normally do not charge sales tax. The savings can be quite significant over time or if your order is large.

I recently purchased some Colt 45 Automatic Pistol magazines from an advertiser at SGN.
