Nice Unit, However.......

This machine produces a very strong blast of nice cold air in AC mode. As cold and strong as any AC I have ever seen. Also, it runs until the room gets cool. Most window AC units and "through the wall" units stop cooling when the outside temp gets about 70 degrees regardless of the inside temp. This unit is inside the room so the unit runs until the temp of the room gets to 65 or 70 degrees farenheit.

This machine also produces water. It produces water in the AC mode with 19 percent humidity or 85 percent humidity it makes no difference. It produces water in the heat pump mode as well regardless of the humidity.

I put the unit on a table and set a bucket below it with the drain hose emtying into the bucket. No problem.

Don't forget to empty the bucket. I get about 5 gallons for about 50 hours running time.

I bought the unit for the heat pump feature to save money. It heats even at 25F dgrees outside. That's because the unit is inside my house and my house is 55F dgrees. If I took it out in a barn where it was 25 degrees it would not heat. The compressor would not "kick in"
Also if I let the temp in my house get to 25F it would not work in heat pump mode.

For 1000 watts and 14000 btus of heat it is great, but I am disappointed in the heat pump a bit. It makes the house comfortable but I like it warmer. One drawback is this: It creates a negative airflow in the building which draws in air from the outside. In my house this is cold air and it defeats the heater somewhat. I don't think you would want to use this while having a fire in a fireplace. It might cause the smoke to fill the room.

I had to close my flew, close my Jenn-Air range vent, close my dryer vent and that kind of thing, to keep the cold air from being sucked in like a vaccume. It still is a problem, although I'm overall happy with my purchase.
