Author's Review
I was hesitant to purchase this TV after reading some of the reviews about the distorted picture and poor geometry. I honestly don't notice any distortion, and this set displays some of the most vibrant colors of any television I've ever owned.
My last set was a 32' that I bought in 1995, and it still has a beautiful picture. The hues in this model, however, blow it away.
The flat screen looks stylish and diminishes distortion and glare, plus it increases viewing angles.
The set uses something that Sony callss Dynamic Picture Circuitry. The digital comb filter is purports to deliver crisp, clear images; and I believe it does what it claims.
This television has multiple video inputs: 2 composite, 1 component, 1 S-video, and 1 RF, to connect multiple home theater add-ons. The inputs are easily navigated by remote with the input button. Unfortunately, this is not an HD TV, and does not contain HDMI or DVI inputs, so eventually you will need an HD converter to tune to all-HD networks, but that won't occur for a few years.
Rich sound from a modern side-speaker design, or can connect to stereo mini-system or home theater for great audio.
Remote is intuitive, multifunctional, and user friendly
We purchased this television for our bedroom, and therefore, we find it more than adequate - proportionately, and in resolution.
And at $279, you can't beat the price.
