Nice Camera but having trouble with touch screen

I purchased this camera because my old camera was lost on a plane going to Hawaii, and I wanted to get something that did not have tapes. Ideally I wanted a hard drive instead of a mini DVD, but those were too expensive. I also wanted to stay with Sony.
The good thing is that you can take still and videos with this camera, and 4 mega pix stills is not bad.
While on vacation in Seattle, I dropped this camera but it continues to work with just a few dings.
The bad thing is that you cannot record movies on the memory stick.
My older Sony allowed me to save videos to the memory stick but this one does not.
Another problem is that the touch screen is not calibrated properly and is difficult to calibrate.

It gives you a warning message every time you turn the DVD on if you do not have a Sony DVD in the drive. The warning message eventually goes away but it's annoying.
red-eye reduction does not work as well as I was expecting.

Suggested improvements:
1. Allow videos to be recorded on memory stick
2. Allow for longer recordings on DVDs, 30 min is mot enough
3. Red eve reduction needs improvement
4. Make it easier to apply fades
5. Provide ability to recharge battery without having to plug into the camera
