Chances are you wont be getting this projection TV as its older now but for anyone searching and thinking of picking one up on the cheap... there is no such thing! This set is an abomination. Search and read carefully. Alot of the praise reviews are from owners early on. Personally mine had the Green Blob problem within the first year. The optical block was replaced THREE TIMES. After my one year warranty expired, I got the Green Blob again but no way am I forking out money on an optical block that has gone bad 4 times in just 1 year. I was dumb enough to buy Sony to begin with.. but smart enough to know when I would be throwing money out the window.
I only found out afterwards that this line had optical block issues (green blob), which Sony had a class action suit against them pertaining to it. The production year I got supposedly had fixed this problem but obviously not. And then with 3 new block being put in and the problem still happening.. its painfully obvious it was not fixed or they were using the previous years optical blocks because they still have them in stock.
The bulb is rated for something like 8,000 hours yet I am on my 3rd bulb now in just 2 years. None of the bulbs even came close to 8,000 hours.
The picture is great, when the TV is working correctly. Problem is you have keep feeding it money to keep it working. STAY CLEAR OF THIS SET. Spend $1200 or so and get a Samsung 61" with LED.
