Product Review

gets the job done.

by   exactionfigure ,   Mar 9, 2003

Pros:  great functional record player

Cons:  cannot set the exact speed of the timing belt

The Bottom Line:  Great utility record player that gets the job done. Great buy for the money.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I received this record player for Christmas because I was in need of a functional record player quite badly. I was going to hold out to get a Technics, even though I'm not mr. DJ or anything - I just like to buy quality. However, after several months with this unit I must say that for the money that was saved, this record player is performing amazingly well. It was easy to assemble and has worked amazingly well and is incredibly fool proof to use. If you want a solid record player that will get the job done without shelling out the extra couple of hundred $$$'s for a 'turntable' so you can be a 'turntablist' - then go with this one.

The only con that I may have would be that if the speed of the record player (timing belt) gets thrown off after time you can't manually adjust (set the pitch) it like you could on a more expensive model. I'll let you know in a couple of years.
