Product Review

SA-DX 950 The Best Technics AV Receiver

by   remidse ,   Jul 13, 2003

Pros:  DOlby Prologic

Cons:  To much heat at low power

The Bottom Line:  There is no difference between SA-DX 950 and SA-DX 1050. So, don't spend more money for a blue light ...

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

All the perfomances are almost ready to use in professional application.
The remote control is a litle bit not to good because it is impossible to change the selected tunner channel Up and Down with a single button touch.
There is a small problem about heat disipation at low power gain (on a 4 OHM Spekers - with "Low Imp" position selected). The question is WHY so much heat for "a bit of power" ??? The main fan, I think, is working only at high power rate. Also it is possible that this kind of amplif. cip. to work at high temperature range, if we are make a refference to "Class A - power amp"
I am waiting for an answer ...

Thank's a lot !
