John Grisham and Janet McAlpin - The Client

Product Review

What a way to start an appreciation of John Grisham

by   LBest ,   Apr 22, 2000

Pros:  Very strong female character

Cons:  Didn't find any

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I picked up The Client in an airport bookstore during an unplanned very long layover. I thought this would be a good time to see what all the fuss was about John Grisham. I had finished the book on that particular business trip. I just couldn't put the book down. I now know that all of his books are that entertaining.

To me it was very vivid. I know people like the Sway family and could see hospital room scenes as if I was visiting them myself. Reggie Love was one of the strongest female characters that I have read in a long time. My only complaint is that Grisham hasn't written more strong women into his stories.

With this book I was hooked. My goal was to own all of his books and add them to my library. I am pretty far on that goal. I just picked up The Brethern this week.
