The Bottom Line: I can't NOT recommend seeing a movie about the Passion of Christ, but I was personally disappointed in it. I honestly tell friends to see it and judge for themselves.
Review: I really have mixed feelings. It was not what I had hoped, to say the least. It did not give me nightmares - it did not affect me powerfully - it was VERY Catholic and ethereal and trying to be visually artistic when this particular subject hardly...

Intense. Epic. Moving. Numbing.

Review: A good movie. Believe the hype, it is gory. However, I think a mostly accurate portrayal of Jesus' suffering. Dialogue in Latin and Aramic smacks of realism. Flashbacks during Christ's various torture are well placed and provide context.
