Author's Review
I am not a huge reader of the sci-fi/fantasy genre of books. BUT Anne McCaffrey manages to imbue her stories with such humor, action and just enough tragedy that once you start reading her books you become an addict. I find that I always stop by her section of the bookstore, just in case there might be a title that I missed. Unfortunately, I never do!!!, but I still have to try. This series "The Brain and Brawn" are among her most interesting...and the Ship Who Searched is one the best of that group. Tia, the brain of her ship is one of the most resilent of McCaffrey's heroines...She displays all the human traits we would most like to see in ourselves.. honor, integrity, compassion, intelligence, humor. She triumphs over a personal tragedy to go out into the universe and find fame, fortune and of course, love as she and Alex, her brawn, sail through space saving lives and finding the answer to one of the most perplexing of questions of their times. This book is a definate keeper. Put this book on your bookshelf and leave it there because you will want to read this book again and again...I do!
