Grill 2 Go!
Date of Review: Jun 9, 2003
The Bottom Line: Easily the winner of the portable catagory, large cook surface, super easy clean up!
When I first saw these grills advertised I thought they were a lame looking gimick. I freind of mine purchased one and brought it camping. I was amazed at how fast it set up, and how well it cooked: eggs, bacon, steak, burgers, and brats. This thing could do it all. I had to have. I bought mine over a year ago. There are a couple variations of this grill, the older ones like mine have an unwelded seprable griddle and fryer area. The newer ones I have seen are welded together. The grill itself has two main pieces, the legs which fold up neatly and the grill itself which locks shut and can be easily carried with the cover handle. The shelves on each side slide out and lock onto the legs for easy two part trandportation. My only gripes with this grill is depending on how windy it is outside it make cook fast(no wind) or slow(lots of wind). As with most sub 400 grills the starter seems to quite working after just under one year, not a big deal and not just a characteristic of this grill, all starters on the lower priced grills are just weak. I recogmend this grill for just about anybody, its great for apartment and condo dwellers who want an easy to move and store full size grill, perfect for tail-gating at sporting events, and great for camping. The grill cleans up easy with water, the convenient grease trap needs to be occasionally cleaned which is kind of gross but not considering how it keeps all the grease from gowing anywere else. Also a hose for the regulator can be purchased so it can be run on the large propane tanks or the 16 oz ones, which typically last for several cook outs. In short I love mine and have whole heartily recogmended it to my friends and now you folks. Enjoy!
