The Bottom Line: I don't think that the film is worth seeing, because it is too dark in premise, and it really misses out on creating emotion for its viewers.
Review: The title alone is enough to scare people away from seeing the film, and I think part of Tim Burton's intended humor is lost on a theater-going crowd that wants to understand what they are getting into. My first viewing of a preview for his film...

Corpse Bride: Great animation......boring plot.

The Bottom Line: Very uneven movie. I was impressed with the visuals and animation in the beginning, but completely unimpressed with the plot and character development that ensued.
Review: Last night, I went to see Tim Burton's Corpse Bride with my husband and our eleven year old son. I have positive memories of Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands, so I had high hopes for this newest of Burton's films. Alas, my hopes were dashed.
