Product Review

Nice, but unreliable ...

by   asarnold ,   Sep 4, 2008

Pros:  nice features for the price

Cons:  our product was not durable, and stopped working within a year after purchase

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

Originally, we were very pleased with our Timex CD clock radio. We purchased it for our baby's room, and we found the sound to be fine, the nature sounds to be great (!), the look appealing, and the price about right.
However, in just a few months after purchase, the "play mode" button stopped working consistently -- sometimes it would work, and sometimes it wouldn't. About one year after purchase, the volume knob (encoder) broke. As the output of the knob is wired to a printed circuit board, the knob is not easily repairable. Time for a new CD player -- and we are not buying a Timex.
