Product Review

Oh... What a Feeling !!

by   kirby22 ,   Sep 4, 2006

Pros:  Quick accelleration, great mileage, reliable, looks nice, excellent safety rating (W/ optional side bags) !

Cons:  Seating position, headroom (w/sunroof), no telescoping steering wheel or remote trunk release !

The Bottom Line:  I recommend it because it is rock solid!

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I have had my 2005 Corolla S for almost 2 years now and I am still impressed with the darn thing! I clock almost 3 hours a day driving to and from work (annual mileage over 30K) and I cannot say anything bad about this car! I guess I should tell you that I have owned several other Toyotas as well... a 1983 4x4 that I kept until 1987, logging just shy of 150K, a 1990 Toyota Camry that we logged over 100K on until I totaled it... oops and I replace it with a 1993 Corolla LE that I put just shy of 300K on and kept it until I traded it (dealer gave me $850 for it, and it still drove well... it just looked like Hell!) 11 years later for the Corolla I have now ! I also bought a 2005 Camry SE for my wife... Now that my son is driving, I am looking for a used Toyota for him, maybe a 2000 or older Celica ???) Anyway, the Corolla is rock solid... nothing mechanical has happened to it yet, and I don't expect to see any real problems as long as I own it... except for maybe new tires and brakes... no more timing belts as they went back to the good old chain! Oh, one thing went wrong, I accidently broke the trunk light off when I hauled a new lawnmower home from Lowe's... Toyota might want to think about relocating that.... cheers !
