Good value, but buttons don't always register.

The Victor 1180-3A is an overall good value...but I only purchased it because it was the only brand line available at my company. My main complaint is that the buttons don't consistently register if your finger pressure is medium to light. I had several errors because of this. If you pound on the keys, no problem. At first, I thought the problem was that I was not hitting the buttons square on, but a test of hitting buttons at the corners revealed good registration. It's possible that as this unit breaks in, the light touch registration problem will go away.

If you are a heavy button tapper, this calculator is probably okay for you. But if your tapping is on the medium to lighter side, keep looking. I have used Sharp calculators in the past and have never had button problems with them.
