Doesn't Clean

The Bottom Line: Do not recommend - does not clean well - leaves residue
As some of the others stated - I had high hopes of putting in dishes and having them come out clean - No SUCH LUCK. This dishwasher does a worse job than the 20 year old Kenmore it was replacing because the motor was going up. Dishes continually come out dirty, even after pre-rinsing, glasses have a film or bits of detergent on them, even with their recommended Jet Dry.
The door to the detergent compartment does not open or there are clumps of dishwasher detergent left in the dispenser - no matter how little is put in.
The utensil rack is placed outside of the dish rack which frees up space for dishes, but the utensil rack is narrow and holds very little.
The cycle time is supposed to "sense" how dirty the dishes are and set accordingly - but even after pre-rinsing, AND running hot water first (which is recommended!?) the cycle time does not seem to vary - and is extremely long - especially considering that it runs so long but dishes are still coming out dirty.
All in all I am VERY disappointed. I would love my Kenmore back and wish I had stuck with that brand. I definitely do not recommend this dishwasher.
