Good hood for the money

I bought this product as a replacement of some old builder's special hood.

The exterior design is very attractive and fits right into the kitchen that is equipped with other stainless steel appliances.

I have a kitchen aid gas cooktop with 4 burners. The hood has no problems covering the cooktop. I was a bit worried about hitting the hood when bending (the hood is about 2' above the counter top); however, it was not an issue (I am 5' 10"). If you are 6' and taller, may need to install it higher up.

Performance: very good.

Cleaning: very good. Just throw the filters into the dishwasher.

Installation: could be a challenge, specially if you use the provided holes. In my case, I used a cordless with bit extension and just put the screws into 4 new holes having a helper holding the hood against the bottom of the cabinet.

Controls: both controls are on the right hand side and lined up toward the back of the hood. I would rather have them at the front of the hood and lined up across.

The hood does not have a timer, which could be a drawback for some of us.

The backsplash looks great and I think it is great idea.

Overall, it is a good product and relatively inexpensive for its looks

If you have money, I mean much more money, look at some of Miele hoods. You will be impressed.
