Author's Review

After my THIRD DSL modem from my local phone company died, I decided to purchase a new DSL modem..the only one available at the local Staples location was the Zoom brand.

While this modem/router was easy enough to install, configuring it to my home network was a nightmare. This is apparently a product that Network Magic doesn't recognize, therefore I had to call Zoom's tech support for help. Of course, it was a direct dial number, so not only did I have to pay for the modem/router, but I had to pay for the phone call to their support line. GRRR....

After spending about 10 minutes on the line with a somewhat abrupt CSR, my modem/router was working fine....for about 20 minutes. For the next three days, I had to endure constant network interruptions because of the fact that my home networking program still wouldn't recognize this product. I finally gave up and got a another modem from my phone company.

This would be an ok product if it were more compatible with the home networking program I run.
