The Hunger for Stardom
Pros:
Great song selection. Great Falsetto in his voice.
Cons:
Over-Produced at times.
The Bottom Line:
Should be a hit CD. Well worth my money. If a fan of Roy Orbison or The Mavericks, try it out.

Author's Review
Ever Get that feeling that a superstar has just hit us?
Well, that is the feeling that I felt the First time I heard Don't Make Me Beg. I purchased the single and anxiously awaited the release of the CD. It Was Finally released in October 2000, nearly a year after I first heard "don't." It was well worth the Wait. Much Like His Contemporary Eric Heatherly, Steve sings songs he likes, not just ones the ever fickle radio will like.
Below are some thoughts about each song.
1. Blue Moon - the title track and second single, this was the song to push the CD out to the public. It charted and went top 20.
2. One Beat At A Time - Another good shuffling song. could be a single.
3. Cold Kisses - Similar to Roy Orbison's best. This song proves that Steve has a powerful falsetto voice.
4. Just A Kiss - A lot like the Mavericks on this song it's another wonderfully arranged song.
5. The Hunger - Well Written, this is Steve's Third Single. It's currently climbing the charts. Should be his Breakout song. Talks about the hunger of love.
6. Tear One - Another song similar to a Mavericks song.
7. She's So - With it's soaring chorus, this would be a wonderful choice as a fourth or fifth single from this CD.
8. You're Gonna Miss My Love - Written By Craig Fuller of Pure Prarie League fame and guitar virtuoso Mark Selby, this is pure unadulturated southern rock.
9. Someone's out to get me - Great song, it is evident when listening to the whole CD and this song, that Steve likes to wear his influences on his sleeve.
10. If that's what you want - Written by singer / songwriter James House, it would fit perfectly on one of his CD's.
11. Don't Make Me Beg - Great First single. Has a western swing beat to it. Was a top 30 hit.
12. Good Morning Beautiful - Wonderfully written gem, this song should be a single, if not by Steve, then it'll be recorded by another artist and released.
